Richard Redhead has over eighteen years experience of accountancy and taxation work and has been a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 12 years and a Chartered Taxation Advisor for nine years. He worked in private practice since leaving school and trained with a local based firm who gave him a training contract after two year work based training. Richard currently still works in private practice and is part of a small firm specialising in taxation and business advice.
Area of Expertise
Richard’s areas of expertise are in taxation planning and advice, accounting and financial advice, business development and HMRC compliance.
Two professional achievements in the last 5 years
Within the last five years Richard has achieved an equity stake in the practice and expanded his own client base significantly.
In a professional capacity, my interests are focussing on mitigating clients’ taxation liability through better tax planning and advice.
View of continuing professional development (CPD)
Richard believes that although it is a necessary requirement to undertake structured CPD in order to maintain professional qualifications, CPD is an essential tool in keeping his business competitive and relevant. Without updating existing knowledge on ever changing accounting and taxation legislation, he would not be able to offer the correct and best advice to his clients.
