Recording our CPD is not just about recording reflections, it includes having a forward-looking plan as well as a backward-facing review of progress and achievement.
What Should I Record?
This should be a record of actual activities/achievements, learning and reflections on outcomes. Ideally it should reflect your objectives set out in your plan.
Some examples could include:
- Did you participate in a forum?
- Have you refreshed your LinkedIn profile properly and networked with any other professionals?
- Have you read the latest journal on global trends in your sector and more importantly did you tweet your opinion on Twitter ?
Bear in mind that so many activities feed into your CPD but importantly build your reputation also.
Time To Leap
Complete your record in ‘My CPD’ as you achieve activities you have planned, and areas of development that were perhaps not planned, called incidental to enrich your CPD.
